Brisbane Roar Youth will be looking to get back to winning ways when they commence the second half of their NPL Queensland campaign against Eastern Suburbs on Sunday.
The Round 14 fixture comes after a bye and marks a return to Heath Park, where the season began for the Young Roar back in March.
A confident 3-1 victory on that occasion proved the catalyst for a brilliant run of results that saw the side secure 26 points from a possible 33 through to the end of May, while scoring 43 goals at an average of almost four per game.
Narrow defeats followed against Moreton Bay United and table-toppers Peninsula Power in June but those minor setbacks are unlikely to affect the confidence of a highly talented squad.
Cyrus Dehmie, Hassan Ramazani and Eli Adams have all gained A-League exprience in the weeks and months that have followed the team’s first visit to Heath Park and many more BRFC Academy products have regularly been involved in first team training.
That experience is sure to serve the side well as the battle for top-four spots heats up over the remaining 13 rounds.
The primary focus for now is to complete a season double over a solid Easts outfit who have not lost in five games.
It’s set to be a fascinating affair and you can get behind the boys from 6:00pm at Heath Park, or by watching live on NPL.TV.
